Account Information

When you create an account using Google Sign-In, we receive:

Your email address
Your name (as provided by Google)
A unique user identifier

Content You Create

When you use our service, we store:

Character names you provide
Story prompts and adventure ideas you submit
AI-generated character images
AI-generated story text and illustrations
Character personality traits and settings you select

Usage Information

We collect analytics data including pages visited, features used, and general usage patterns to improve our service.

2. Photo Handling

This is important: When you upload a photo to create a character, here's exactly what happens:

Your photo is sent directly to our AI processing service
The AI generates a block-style character image inspired by the photo
Your original photo is immediately deleted — it is NOT stored on our servers
Only the AI-generated character image is saved to your account

We never store, retain, or have access to the original photos you upload. The photos exist only temporarily during the AI generation process.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and deliver personalized storybooks
Maintain your account and saved content
Improve our AI models and service quality
Send service-related communications
Ensure content safety through moderation
Analyze usage to improve the product

Account data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security
Generated images are stored in Cloudflare R2 with secure access controls
All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
We implement access controls and authentication for all services

6. Children's Privacy

Blockabye is designed for parents to create storybooks for their children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Important notes:

Accounts must be created by parents or guardians (age 18+)
We do not collect children's names directly — parents provide character names
Original photos of children are never stored (see Photo Handling above)
Generated character images are stylized block-style illustrations, not realistic photos

7. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Delete your account and all associated data
Delete individual characters or storybooks
Export your storybooks as PDF files
Opt out of analytics tracking

8. Data Retention

Account data: Until you delete your account
Characters and storybooks: Until you delete them or your account
Uploaded photos: Deleted immediately after processing (not retained)
